In Memory of Mikie

Mikie’s Song

Robin Gassett - May 2012

She loved to hunt and fish, ride ponies that were wild.

She mostly got her wish, though she was but a child.

One day God took her home, we sit and wonder why.

We have to be alone, She hunts up in the sky.

How were we to know, how could we ever tell.

God knows best for all, perhaps it’s just as well.

She tried to do it all, give everything a try.

She had to heed Gods call, young angels need to fly.

So ours is not to mourn, ours is not to cry.

We’ll meet again someday, go hunting in the sky.

How were we to know, how could we ever tell.

God knows best for all, Perhaps it’s just as well.

(Repeat)
